~ We finally gotten a true taste of monsoon season, with powerful thunderstorms, dramatic dust storms (haboobs), heavy rain, and impressive lightning lighting up the Valley over the past few days. While the storms have brought cooler temperatures and much-needed moisture, they've also caused blowing dust & some damage locally.

I enjoy the change in the weather and I’m a bit of a radar geek, but these storms are no joke. Please be mindful as the monsoon pattern isn't finished yet. Forecasters are calling for additional chances of afternoon and evening thunderstorms across the Phoenix area over the next week, bringing the potential for heavy rain, strong wind gusts, frequent lightning, and more blowing dust. While not every neighborhood will see a storm each day, residents should stay weather-aware, as conditions can change quickly and localized flooding and travel impacts remain possible.

Quilters on Grand - will hold our "Christmas in July Quilt & Sewing Sale" on Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Grand Center. Come discover great bargains on quilted gifts, fabric, books, patterns, and a wide variety of sewing and quilting notions supplies. Cash, checks, debit, and credit cards are accepted. Please come early for best selection. 

Bell Ceramics - invites you to our "Christmas in July Glaze & Take" on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Bell Center. Come join us for Christmas in July and paint your own Christmas tree or cactus, which includes lights and supplies. The cost starts at $85, depending on the piece you pick and any extra decorative items that you may want to add. No experience is needed. Space is limited, so please stop to reserve your spot and pick your piece before July 15th.
