I hope you had an amazing Independence Day celebration, and made it through with all your fingers!!

Have you been to Buc-ee’s? They opened their location in Goodyear a couple weeks ago and it was mayhem for days. My daughter went with her friends on Saturday, after they opened on Monday, and they still had to wait in line when they arrived, at midnight!!! I have not been, I’m curious to see what all the hype is about.

The crazy heat is here and looks to be hanging around through the weekend. Summers here are hot, you’d think I’d be used to it by now, but I still don’t like it and I don’t think I ever will. I hope you are finding ways to stay cool…🥵

In this week’s Scoop:

  • Epcor to file for rate increase

  • The Carnivore Store is open in Sun City

  • Upcoming Christmas in July club events

  • And so much more!

Have an amazing week out there…🙏

~ Water bills could be on the rise for Sun City residents. EPCOR has proposed a new rate plan that would gradually increase the monthly bill for a typical household using 7,000 gallons of water to about $54.41 over three years, though the proposal must still be reviewed and approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission before any changes take effect. ~ A new chapter has begun for a familiar Sun City location. The Carnivore Store has officially opened in the former Al's Meat Market space, bringing a fresh selection of premium meats, handcrafted sausages, and specialty butcher offerings to the neighborhood. For longtime residents who remember Al's, it's great to see the iconic butcher shop location serving the community once again. (map)

One of Arizona's most recognizable cities nearly had a very different name, one inspired by the citrus groves that once covered the area.

Today, Scottsdale is known for luxury resorts, world-class golf courses, art galleries, and upscale shopping. But long before it earned its reputation as "The West's Most Western Town," the community was a quiet farming settlement surrounded by orchards.

In fact, when local residents began discussing a name for the growing town in the late 1800s, one of the leading choices wasn't Scottsdale at all.

I'm 63 With $1.5M. Can I Spend $10K a Month?

You’ve saved $1.5 million. Now comes the real test.

Can it produce $10,000 a month, or will that pace drain your portfolio?

Most retirees do not get a clear answer until it is too late.

The issue is not just how much you have. It is whether your portfolio was built to pay you, not just grow.

That difference can determine whether your money lasts decades or starts breaking down early.

Sequence of returns, taxes on withdrawals, healthcare costs, and whether the 4% rule still applies all play a role.

Fiduciary advisors created a breakdown showing what drives sustainable income and why the same $1.5M can produce very different outcomes.

If you have $1M or more invested, do not guess.
